Brief Description: Our sponsors are offering a FREE PANCAKE and SAUSAGE breakfast to all attendees from 10 am to Noon! The class will be held both at Noon and 1:00 pm to allow participants and companions to divide their time between the seminar and trecking / exploring the area.
The 2,400 foot strip at the historic Everglades City Airpark (X01) was used early on by the Civil Air Patrol and the US Army Air Forces (USAAF) in addition to private aircraft. President Harry Truman was on hand to dedicate the adjacent Everglades National Park at the airport in December of 1947.
We will cover appropriate Survival Strategies for flights over water and vast uninhabited terrain. Recommendations and rules for overflying National Parks.

Directions to Venue: Fly into Everglades City Airport or by car follow the signs South from US 41 on County Road 29 (3.2 miles) then turn Right on Begonia Street (.2 mi) continue onto Copeland Avenue (.6 mi). Cross the round about straight then continue on Copeland Avenue (.5) turn Right onto Airpark Road (.2 mi).
