X01 Activities

Throughout the year Everglades airport in the 10,000 Islands is a base for  widely varied types of activities.  In the winter, Chuck Gretske flies his Cessna 205 down from Alaska to settle in for a season of tour flights over the Everglades and the Florida Keys; John Apte brings in his Cessna 170 from Maine for a season of banner towing over the beaches and other tourist areas; and of course many fliers come in to carry coolers filled with Stone Crabs from local suppliers, while airboat operators fill their tanks with competitively priced100LL avagas for excursions out over the sawgrass flats. Anytime of the year is a great time to visit, tour the 'Glades, see the sights, and add this outpost landing to your log book.
